
My veg box had a wonderful small cabbage and a couple of tomatoes, so I decided to try out Meera Sodha’s cabbage and potato curry. This recipe is easy and seriously satisfying. It isn’t terribly quick (it takes a while for all the parts to cook), uses spices that maybe not everyone has in their kitchen (black mustard seeds and fenugreek leaves, and I added curry leaves), but it is worth it and makes for excellent leftovers! It is one of those recipes that I’ve been looking at for months and thought it looked kinda “meh” but since I had the right potatoes and cabbage, I thought I’d give it a go. No regrets.
